World Tamil Organisation UK Recognition Awards

We are happy to share the momentous occasion where the Mayor of Amesbury, Cllr Dr Monica Devendran, was invited and honored at the House of Commons, UK Parliament. The event took place on the 1st of December 2023, during the NHS75 celebrations organized by the World Tamil Organisation in the UK (WTO-UK), in conjunction with the Global Medical Excellence Awards evening.

The gathering was graced by distinguished attendees, including Parliamentarians, Diplomats, Doctors, Dental Surgeons, and Community Champions from both the UK and around the world. In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Mayor Cllr Dr Monica Devendran was bestowed with the prestigious “Public Service and Community Engagement Award 2023.”

Representing Amesbury was a privilege and a moment of pride, she dedicated the award to the Town of Amesbury, exemplifying her unwavering commitment to public service and community welfare.
