On Sunday 12th November, we came together as a community to pay tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. In conjunction with the Royal British Legion Amesbury Branch and Amesbury Town Council, the Remembrance Day Service on 12/11/2023 was a truly moving and memorable event.
Mayor Cllr Dr Monica Devendran expressed her deepest gratitude to everyone who took part in the parade, church service, and the organizations that contributed to the success of this important day. She said, “I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all who joined us for the Remembrance Day Service. Your presence and participation helped create a truly remarkable and meaningful occasion.”
The Remembrance Day Service served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our armed forces and the significance of honouring their memory. It was a day when our community came together in gratitude, respect, and remembrance. A special thanks goes to Stonehenge Chamber for all their help with marshals, the sound system and helping with the road closure signs. We would also like to thank Antrobus House – Amesbury and everyone who attended, participated, and supported this special day. Your contributions helped make Sunday a grand success. #RemembranceDay #LestWeForget #HonoringOurHeroes
