The Mayor and her consort were invited to reopen a charity shop called Alabaré in Amesbury on 9/6/2023.
Alabaré have been running a shop in Amesbury for a good number of years.
The same day The Mayor reopened the George reopened the Town Centre. It serves as a perfect place to dine and relax
Following the reopening of the George, she went to the Stonehenge school along with Cllr Taylor and Cllr Strange to thank a group of children who prevented the occurrence of a catastrophe.
That very night, she heard the devastating news of the Fire at Sandell Place. The Bowmans Centre served as an Emergency Welfare Centre. The Mayor along with Councillors Knight, Cllr Hagger, and Cllr Strange were present at the Bowmans Centre that night to support the residents. She went to Sandell place that night to speak to the residents.
The next day, she took part in a meeting with Stonewater, Wiltshire Council, and Fire Services to discuss the management plan for the residents affected by this incident.
She sent her thoughts and prayers to those affected by the fire. Thanks were given to the Councillors, Staff, and Community Volunteers who helped during this catastrophe.
On the 29th of June, The Mayor was invited to reopen the One Stop shop in Amesbury at Sandell Place. She sends her wishes to them.
On the 30th of June, she was invited to a coffee morning at Evergreen Court. It was a delight to talk to the residents on local issues.
On the 1st of July, she went to the Amesbury Methodist Church for a Charity night. The Amesbury Town Band performed that night and money was raised for Amesbury Methodist Church and Christian Aid
There will be a Mayor's Surgery on the 7th of July between 1 PM - 2 PM.
