Mayor's Award

This year’s award was presented to Jeff Coy. In 2010 Jeff opened the Amesbury Filling Station, creating job opportunities for local residents. Since then he has been actively involved in supporting numerous local groups and clubs. Jeff sponsors several community initiatives, including the Amesbury Duck Race, Durrington Football Club, and the Amesbury Community Soul Singers. Jeff is also a valued member of the Amesbury Royal British Legion, where he actively participates in the annual Poppy Appeal. He is also the treasurer of Christ The King Catholic Church and serves as a Eucharistic Minister, visiting parishioners and providing home communion, showcasing his dedication to the spiritual well-being of the community. Jeff played an instrumental role in fundraising for the Mayor's Charity Appeal this year, supporting several charities such as the Alzheimer's Group Amesbury, Amesbury Hoppa Bus, Amesbury Girls Brigade, and the Amesbury Soul Singers. His unwavering commitment, selflessness and dedication to the Amesbury community makes him a deserving recipient of this award.
