June Full Council Meeting Notes

The following points were made/noted at the Full Council meeting of Amesbury Town Council on 8th June 2021.

  • Full minutes are to be published once authorised at the next Town Council meeting.

  • The public lavatories are to be open through the night on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for a trial period only, during June and July.

  • Cllr Monica Devendran spoke in support of the application to register the Wyndham Hall as a Community Asset and asked that the matter be added to the next agenda for councillors to consider the purchase of the hall by the Town Council.

  • The History Centre building is coming on leaps and bounds, despite difficulties obtaining supplies.

  • Residents are encouraged to call 101 if they witness anti-social behaviour.

  • Cllr Rob Yuill is to query the progress of remedial works to Byway 20.

  • Talks are to resume regarding the future of the Boscombe Down Sports Pitches.

  • A Town Council working party is to look for suitable areas in Amesbury for future funfairs.
