Amesbury Water Recycling Centre

Improvement works at Amesbury Water Recycling Centre

What does the work involve? The centre is being upgraded to ensure continued compliance with the Environment Agency consent standards for treated effluent discharge. The development includes the installation of new, additional tertiary water treatment plant.

The new development will improve the management and effectiveness of the water recycling centre and create a safer environment for our staff.

Construction is scheduled to begin on 13th June 2022 and is expected to take around 8 weeks.

All the apparatus will be installed within an area of land within the WRC site boundary.

Environmental impact Our Environmental team has been involved in both the design and construction of the scheme, helping to minimise any ecological impacts during the planned works.

Planning application Planning consent is not required for any of the proposed works.

How does the work affect you? Work will generally take place Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6pm, although there may be an occasional requirement for out-of-hours work. During our work there may be some noise disruption, with every effort made to keep this to a minimum, and some additional construction traffic within the local area.
