On behalf of councillors and staff, the Mayor sends his sincere condolences and offers his deepest sympathy to members of the Royal Family at the passing of Her Majesty the Queen. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time.

Council Services
Amesbury Town Council services will continue to operate as normal during the period of mourning.
Flowers
You are most welcome to leave floral tributes at the memorial wall in the Bowman Centre garden.
Please remove any cellophane wrapping, as the flowers will be collected at the end of the period of mourning for special composting. The compost will be used next year for planting memorial trees around the county.
There will be a waste bin provided in the Bowman Centre garden for disposal of the wrapping.
Please only leave flowers. Any other tributes – eg teddies/toys etc – will have to be removed and will be sent to a charity as directed by the Royal Family.

Flags and Proclamation
Union Flags will be flown at half-mast on the day of announcement of the death of HM The Queen and will be returned to full-mast at 11.00am on the following day.
Following the local Proclamation, the Union Flag will return to half-mast at 1.00pm.
The Union Flag at the Bowman Centre will fly with a black mourning cravat.
