Bonnymead Recreation Ground

Originally Bonny Mead (beautiful meadow), the Recreation Ground was given to the Town Council for use by the community. This is a popular site, with access to the River Avon and several byways for pleasant walks through the countryside.

As well as being a large green space, the Recreation Ground includes a children’s play area, skate park, multi-use games area and fitness equipment.

Amesbury Town Football Club has a sports pavilion and football pitch adjacent to the main Recreation Ground.

Bonnymead Recreation Ground was designated a Field in Trust site in 2012, which is commemorated with a plaque at the entrance to the Recreation Ground.

There is plenty of car parking available.
