Grants

The Town Council has budgeted sums for 2010/11 to provide grants for non-profit making organisations in Amesbury.

Section 137 Grants are available to local groups/organisations for activities that are beneficial to Amesbury parishioners.  There is a limited budget, so funding is on a first come first served basis.  The Town Council has determined that there should be a £300 limit for any one activity in any financial year.

Street Cleaning Scheme:  The scheme was originally funded by Salisbury District Council.  Amesbury Town Council has now adopted the scheme, and has dedicated funds to it.  Non profit-making organisations in Amesbury can apply to take part in the scheme as a way of raising money through litter picking in set areas around Amesbury.  It is a brilliant way of fundraising, at the same time helping to make Amesbury a brighter place to live!
