Jan Swindlehurst is married with 4 children, all grown up now and living in Scotland, Oxford, Salisbury and Ludgershall and 9 grandchildren. She has lived in this area since 1973 and has been on Amesbury Town Council for 15 years.  She was Amesbury's first lady Mayor, an honour which she still cherishes.
