Roger has been a Town Councillor since 2003, representing Amesbury West. He was the Mayor of Amesbury from May 2009 to April 2010.

Roger represents the Council on the Area Board as well as World Heritage Site and English Heritage committees. He is also very keen on local matters and endeavours to obtain support from Wiltshire Unitary Council and other bodies who are able to assist.

He is keen on walking and cycling and enjoys jogging but restricts that activity to warmer times of the year.

Roger is married to Barbara and they have two grown up sons.
