Amesbury Town Council maintains Amesbury’s open spaces:
Archers Gate
As the new development progresses, Amesbury Town Council is working hard to secure open spaces for residents. There has been little such provision to date, but with continued dialogue and good relations with both the planners and developers, we hope to be able to provide recreation facilities sooner rather than later.
A toddler play area has now been installed - just in time for the February half term holiday.
Bonnymead Park (Recreation Road, Amesbury)
Originally Bonny Mead (beautiful meadow), the park was given to the Town Council in 1925 for use by the community. This is a popular site, used by both young and old. There is access to the River Avon and to several byways for pleasant walks through the countryside.

The addition of a pavilion in the 60's gave the facility for use by Amesbury Town Football Club and Amesbury Cricket Club.

New play equipment was installed for toddlers with a grand opening on 21st October 2007. A skate park and MUGA behind the pavilion provide recreation for older children.
Harvard Park (Harvard Way)
The new toddler park at Harvard Park has recently been installed by Amesbury Town Council, after a troublesome period of anti-social behaviour created around an old, worn-out play area. New trees have been planted along the edge of the open space, and new equipment will soon be installed for older children, following the completion of a community consultation and successful funding application. Local art, new seating and litter bins will add the finishing touches to the park, designed for use by the whole community.
Stonehenge Estate
The play area located in the green area of The Stonehenge Estate was installed in approximately 1990. The equipment was replaced in 2007.
